HIVE Wins MGAA 2026 MGA Initiative of the Year for HIVE Sentinel
We're delighted that HIVE Underwriters has been named MGA Initiative of the Year at the MGAA Awards 2026 for HIVE Sentinel.
This award means a great deal to everyone at HIVE because it recognises something we've believed from day one: better underwriting comes from better insight. Aviation war risk is constantly evolving. Aircraft move, values fluctuate, geopolitical tensions shift without warning, and exposures can change within minutes. We wanted a better way to understand that world, so we built one.
HIVE Sentinel gives our underwriters a live view of more than 30,000 aircraft worldwide, bringing together location data, insured values, HIVE's participation and dynamic war risk intelligence into a single platform. That level of granularity allows us to understand portfolio accumulations as they happen, respond quickly when events unfold and have more informed conversations with brokers, clients and capacity partners.
The platform has already proved its worth in live trading, helping clients visualise their exposure during major operational disruption and supporting more informed decisions around programme structure and limits. For our underwriters, it's become an integral part of day-to-day decision-making, combining technology with the perspicacity that only specialist underwriting experience can bring.
While HIVE Sentinel received this year's recognition, it's one part of a much bigger journey. Alongside Sentinel, we're continuing to develop HIVE Hub, the platform that connects our underwriting and operational workflows, and HIVE MInD, our analytical engine that turns underwriting data into meaningful management insight. Together, they're helping build the next generation of specialist underwriting capability and keeping HIVE at the vanguard of knowledge-led underwriting.
